
Two-day Paper Making Intensive
Workshop for learning the fundamentals of handmade papermaking.
This two-day workshop introduces you to the fundamentals of handmade papermaking while gradually moving into more experimental techniques including pigmenting pulp, layered casting, inclusions, texture building, and sculptural paper exploration.
You’ll create a collection of handmade sheets and a foundational understanding of both traditional and contemporary papermaking practices. In addition, you’ll take home your own mould and deckle, allowing you to continue papermaking after the workshop.

Kae Carlstedt-Duke
Kae runs a commercial bindery and letterpress studio under the name of The Lazy Dog Press where she carries out book repairs and new binding commissions. Her skills have been developed over 25 years and she has trained in UK, America and Italy. As well as bookbinding, Kae is committed to keeping the art of letterpress printing alive and creates contemporary prints using traditional techniques on historical printing presses and this work has been exhibited at home and abroad. Kae is an enthusiastic and encouraging teacher and loves passing on her skills, she teaches letterpress and bookbinding courses on the Island.
