Weddings & Celebrations

Quay Arts is a Grade II listed Victorian building that combines historic charm with a contemporary feel to provide you with a practical and alternative celebration venue. Our Café Bar and riverside terrace can be adapted and decorated to suit your specific requirements.

As an arts venue in the heart of Newport, we pride ourselves on providing an outlet for creativity and we welcome you to have “your day, your way”. We are fully licensed for weddings and civil partnership ceremonies and in the past we have hosted a range of innovative receptions, celebrant ceremonies, civil partnerships and private parties with a variety of themes.

Catering for private functions

Our friendly front of house team will be here to serve you throughout the day and our chef can provide you with locally delicious sourced food. Our menu is flexible to your needs and we are happy to provide the following catering arrangements:

Informal meals for example: pizzas, hot dogs and fajitas

Inspirational meeting rooms for hire

For the best Isle of Wight conference hire, a meeting room at Quay Arts will make your next training day or conference more inspiring, enjoyable – and successful.

Located in the centre of Newport, our waterside complex has all the facilities you need in one place. The building is fully accessible and its mix of traditional and contemporary architecture makes a refreshing change for a corporate event. Spaces are flexible and all benefit from high speed internet access.

Meeting rooms can be used for small meetings, training days and business conferences. Room hire includes the use of presentation equipment from flip charts to data projectors. A variety of hot and cold refreshments can be provided and delegates also have access to our popular Café Bar.

Quay Arts hosts a diverse programme of exhibitions throughout the year, welcoming over 20,000 visitors annually to our galleries. We offer exciting opportunities for local, regional, national, and international artists to showcase their work in a professional arts venue on the Isle of Wight. Our three unique gallery spaces vary in scale, duration, and cost, allowing for a range of exhibition types—from solo shows to group collaborations.

West Gallery

Our largest and most prominent exhibition space. 

Exhibition Length: 6–8 weeks 
Hire Fee: from £2,000 
Includes: Curatorial support + promotion 
How to Apply: Expression of Interest (EOI) 
Lead Time: 12–18 months

Clayden Gallery

A flexible space suitable for emerging and mid-career artists. 

Exhibition Length: 2–4 weeks 
Hire Fee: From £250–£500 
Includes: Curatorial support + promotion

Café Wall

An informal but high-traffic exhibition space within our café.
