Courses & Workshops Terms & Conditions

WORKSHOP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By booking and paying for a workshop or course you are confirming your agreement to these terms:

1.  Cancellations

1.1.  Workshop/course fees are non-refundable unless we can sell your space.

1.2.  Instead of cancelling, you may transfer your booking to another person by sending someone in your place provided we have been given their contact details (name, email, phone) so arrangements can be made and workshop details can be passed on. (If this is an advanced course, the person you send must have the appropriate background to attend.)

1.3.  Workshops bought as gifts are subject to the same cancellation policy.

1.4.  We reserve the right to cancel or postpone workshops at any time. (Refunds will be made in the event of cancellation, or if the participant will not be able to attend on the new date for a postponed session.) All workshops have a minimum attendance level and may be cancelled if too few paid bookings are received.

1.5   Participant cancellations with requests for refunds or transfers due to extraordinary circumstances will be treated on an individual basis and at the sole discretion of Quay Arts.

2.  The Workshop or Course

2.1.  Your place is not confirmed and we have no obligation to you until full payment is received.

2.2.  Most workshop fees include the cost of materials. If the fee does not include all or some materials it will be stated on our website under workshop description. The list of materials that you need to bring with you will also be found there.

2.3.  You must attend on a punctual basis unless prevented by events which are beyond your reasonable control. We are unable to delay start times for late arrivals; workshops begin at the time stated.

2.4.  We do not accept Adult Workshop bookings from anyone under 18 years of age unless otherwise stated. We are able to make exceptions in some circumstances so do get in touch.

2.5.  We are entitled to change the timing and/or content of any workshop and to substitute any suitably skilled/experienced teacher at any time.

2.6.  We will undertake all necessary risk assessments and precautions to ensure the safety of staff and participants.

2.7. For our Pottery Classes, we have regular firings of work. However, this is dependant on having a full kiln of work. So there is no set firing times in place.

3.  Your Conduct

3.1.  Abusive, discriminatory or other inappropriate behaviour or language, or threatening or disruptive behaviour towards staff or participants will result in you being removed from the workshop. Your payment will not be reimbursed in this event.

3.2.  You must comply with all applicable government guidelines as well as any health and safety practices put in place by Quay Arts. Failure to follow these guidelines and practices may result in you being removed from the workshop. Your payment will not be reimbursed in this event.

4.  Waiting Lists

4.1.  When a currently advertised workshop is fully booked, customer requests received by the Box Office are added to a waiting list. (We do not have waiting lists for workshops which have not opened for booking.)

4.2.  Any cancellation space will be offered via phone or email to the first person on the waiting list. If that person does not respond to the Box Office by the designated deadline (usually by the end of that day) then the offer is made to all other persons on the waiting list, and the workshop place will be sold on a first come first served basis.

4.5   If you are offered a place on a workshop, it is not confirmed and we have no obligation to you until full payment is received.

DONATE TO QUAY ARTS

Even a little money can make a big difference at Quay Arts

Did you realise that when you buy a cup of freshly ground barista coffee in our Café Bar, you are helping to support the cultural life of the Isle of Wight?

However, the generosity of our supporters goes beyond sales of food, drink and theatre tickets. Gifts of money, time, and even specific items make a huge difference to the amount of work we can do. Together, we can continue to enrich the lives of islanders and visitors with our fantastic programme of events.
