Tutor : Carol Ann Eades
Join textile artist Carol Ann Eades for a hands-on, one-day introductory workshop on eco-printing, where you’ll explore the art of transferring the natural beauty of eucalyptus leaves onto recycled, prepared fabrics. Using several different varieties of fallen eucalypts gathered from Ventnor Botanic Gardens, you’ll learn the basic techniques of eco-printing to create stunning, nature-inspired designs on silk and wool. This workshop provides a perfect foundation for further exploration of this fascinating eco-friendly craft, allowing you to experiment with different plant materials and develop your skills in creating unique, sustainable prints.
Basic materials and equipment needed for the workshop are included in the cost of the course together with samples of wool and silk for initial experiments. Carol Ann will also bring larger pieces of silk and wool which, if needed, can be bought on the day
Suitable for all, 18yrs +
