Little City

Sat 8 June Sat 8 June

Saturday 8th June ’24

Sessions at:
The little world that comes to you….

Little City is just that, a Little City for your children! A unique mobile role play city for children aged 6 years and under.

Every play session is 1hr 15 minutes – we found that 1hour is too short and 90 minutes is too long for some little ones so we’ve gone with a happy compromise! During that time, the play is entirely child-led and you’ll notice we purposely don’t set out chairs or tables for adults to sit at – we want to and actively encourage you to get involved too!

It’s not often we get time to just play: there’s always a job to do at home or a phone call to make, but at Little City the emphasis is on playing with your little ones and discovering what their favourite area is. Its also a lovely setting to meet friends for those much needed play dates.

  • We welcome playing children up to the age of 6 years old inclusive; this is because the equipment and toys are all suited for this age range.
  • Babies/crawlers: non-walking baby siblings are free with a paying child and do not need a ticket. If possible, please wear baby in a sling and leave buggies or pushchairs outside the theatre to allow for as much space as possible to play.
  • You are welcome to take photos of your child playing, but please be mindful of any other children around you. We’d love and appreciate any social media tags in your sharing of photos of your child during their visit.
  • You are responsible for your own child/children at all times. Adults are to stay with their child exploring the city together.
  • Please place any mouthed toys in our ‘Scrub Tub’ for us to clean and return to play.
  • Please use hand gel on arrival and throughout the event. We will ensure ongoing cleaning of main ‘touch points’ throughout the session.

£7.50 per child (+ 1 adult)
£3.00 per additional adult

Even a little money can make a big difference at Quay Arts

Did you realise that when you buy a cup of freshly ground barista coffee in our Café Bar, you are helping to support the cultural life of the Isle of Wight?

However, the generosity of our supporters goes beyond sales of food, drink and theatre tickets. Gifts of money, time, and even specific items make a huge difference to the amount of work we can do. Together, we can continue to enrich the lives of islanders and visitors with our fantastic programme of events.
