A fresh approach to Life drawing!
A short course delivered by tutors Nick Martin (lead tutor), Leah Rice and Caroline Underwood focussing on the use of dramatic lighting to explore tonality, three-dimensionality and the disappearing edge, and ‘the good line’ through delicate and heavy mark making, a study of ‘looseness’ and automatic drawing and including at least one very large scale drawing!
Suitable for all abilities from beginners to professional artists.
Materials: Charcoal, range of Pencils, Graphite sticks, pastels/conte, black ink, erasers. We will give notice of materials needed for each week, starting with graphite and pencils.
This course has been designed (and is most impactful) as a continuous short course, but may be assessed as one or more individual sessions.
