Charles Condomine, a successful novelist, has had two wives – one is most certainly living and the other is most certainly dead! However, after a rather eventful séance held by the eccentric Madame Arcati, the ghost of his temperamental first wife has come to visit, much to the consternation of the current Mrs Condomine. Two wives, ‘living’ under the same roof? What could possibly go wrong?
BlackBox Theatre Company are back with a brand new touring production. This summer, they are bringing Noel Coward’s comic masterpiece, Blithe Spirit, to the outdoor stage. Formed in 2016, BlackBox are fast becoming one of the South’s leading small-scale, professional, touring theatre companies, bringing exciting and innovative theatre to a variety of smaller venues & rural communities around the South of England, producing new work alongside the modern classics. They have assembled a strong cast of local professional actors to bring this show to life, including the Isle of Wight’s own Anna Mallard, as Ruth Condomine.

Newclose County Cricket Club
BlackBox are bringing Noel Coward’s comic masterpiece, Blithe Spirit to the Newclose County Cricket Club. This is an outdoor performance and (if need be) will be fully Covid compliant.
Please dress appropriately for the Great British Summer – it could get chilly!
Limited seating may be avaialable – you are advised to bring your own chairs or blankets.
The performance will go ahead regardless of weather, however if we do have to cancel due to adverse conditions we will offer you an alternative date or a full refund. If in doubt visit our Facebook page on the day.
The Bar & Restaurant will be open throughout the day. If you would like to pre-order a meal please do so when booking tickets. Payment for food will be taken on the day at the venue.
ALCOHOL CANNOT BE BROUGHT INTO THE GROUNDS.

Our goal is to provide an excellent personal service to our customers and to do this requires a lot of resource. The booking fee we levy contributes to the cost of running the Quay Arts Centre, its Box Office and Box Office systems. As a charitable not for profit organisation all income is used to support the delivery of arts and cultural activities to our local community.
