STANDPOINT

2012 marks the 30th anniversary of Quay Arts' existence as the Island's leading arts venue and the 10th year of our highly-acclaimed creative Summer School; it is also the year in which we lose our core funding from Arts Council England. At this challenging point in our history, we want to be both reflective and forward-thinking, to continue to strive towards making connections and bridging the gap between artist, audience and gallery.

We invite our visitors to join us in a series of events and exhibitions in which we can reflect on and interpret the world around us, from our own unique standpoint.

Standpoint (definition: a physical or mental position from which things are viewed, considered or judged; a point of view).

Many of our projects this season in 'Standpoint' crossover, from Live Events, to Visual Arts, to Kids and Family events. We also have a range of workshops and events taking place that are independent from 'Standpoint'.
