Four schools working with two artists exploring transition.
Children in Year 6 from Barton Primary, Medina House School, Summerfields Primary and Wootton Primary on the Isle of Wight have taken part in a project working with Island artists Hannah George and Ian Whitmore. All the work on display has been created by all four schools involved in the project in collaboration with their teachers and the artists.
The children visited the galleries and had a workshop at Quay Arts, followed by three workshops in their own schools and a day at Medina College working collaboratively on creating fantastic totem poles.
‘The children have worked fantastically well and with boundless creativity. We hope that you will take the opportunity to come and visit the children’s work while it is beautifully displayed in the Clayden Gallery at Quay Arts.’ Hannah George & Ian Whitmore.
