Want to be apart of our special collaborative Live Event for the fantastic Drawing Process exhibition on 28th November in The West Gallery?
Then join in with our one-day workshops as we explore the Big Draw 2015 theme: “Every Drawing Tells a Story” using the artwork in the gallery as catalyst.
‘Pictures in Sound’ – Soundscaping with Paul Windridge:
Choose any image from the exhibition and imagine what it would be like if you were listening in on it. The resultant soundscapes will then be recorded and featured in the live event on 28th Nov. Paul Windridge is a moving image, music and soundscaper who’s work has screened at various music and film festivals, and at events in Tate Modern and MOMA New York. Over the last couple of years he has concentrated on making video and sound art based on the Isle of Wight coastline.
Bring your own laptop and production software, headphones, and any instruments and sound samples you wish to try out.
Workshops are only £5 each and for people aged 18 – 30 years old living on the Isle of Wight. Book early to avoid disappointment as spaces are limited.
The Drawing Process Live Event: Saturday 28th November 2.30 – 3.30pm. The West Gallery. Free.
