Day of Drawing with Bridget Macdonald

Bridget Macdonald has run a number of popular charcoal drawing workshops at Quay Arts. This year she is offering a day devoted to drawing using a range of materials and a variety of subjects, including composition, scale, measured drawing, expressive use of materials, how to use photographs and time based methods. The main emphasis will be on working from observation but there will also be an opportunity to explore other ways of drawing.
Suitable for all over 16s including beginners.
Meet the Tutor
Bridget Macdonald was born on the Isle of Wight and now lives and works in Malvern, Worcestershire. Her work is in the collections of Wolverhampton Art Gallery, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, and Worcester City Art Gallery and in many private and corporate collections. She has exhibited several times at Quay Arts and will be having a joint exhibition with her sister, the Island potter Molly Attrill, in the Clayden Gallery from 6 – 27 July, entitled Potter and Painter. www.bridgetmacdonald.co.uk
