Welcome to Quay Arts 10th annual Summer School programme, an opportunity for you to spend an intensive few days discovering or rediscovering the joy of painting, drawing or making, across a broad choice of courses.
In this introductory jewellery course students will learn how to make a simple ring and a bangle in sterling silver, mastering techniques such as using a saw, hammering, bending & shaping silver, drilling, soldering, and polishing, before moving on to designing and making items of their own - under expert supervision! The course is suitable for complete beginners or those with basic skills who want to refresh their existing skills. All tools and materials provided.
We are celebrating Quay Arts 10th Summer School by offering our course students an exciting opportunity to showcase the work they create, in a special exhibition in our Rope Store Gallery. This experimental exhibition, curated by our Exhibitions Organiser, will grow and evolve throughout August as each Summer School course comes to an end. The opportunity to exhibit is entirely optional for students.
